CNS UK celebrates its 10th anniversary along with the Nepalese festival in London
Charlton Nepalese Society (CNS UK ) celebrated its 10th anniversary in London amidst the Nepalese festival ‘Dashain’ and ‘Tihar’ in the southeast of London. CNS UK an organization representing Nepalese people residing in the southeast of London particularly Charlton and surrounding areas organized a cultural program to mark its 10th anniversary on the occasion of Dashain’s biggest festival of Nepal and Tihar widely known as Dipawali a festival of lights.
A typical Nepalese cultural program was performed by a local artist on the occasion. Organization’s Chairperson Mrs. Rekha kharel and other office bearers exchanged good wishes on society’s behalf amongst around two hundred participants of the program for Nepalese festivities. An anniversary cake was also saved during the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, chairperson Mrs. Kharel highlighted the importance of the organization’s objectives. ‘Unity of ethnic Nepalese people for communal benefit and integration among local residents is vital for people of Nepal living in London’ she said ‘objectives of the organization has met its significance especially during hard times like ‘Covid-19’ pandemic. She also thanked all volunteers for serving the community and working together with local authorities. General secretary T N Rijal conducted the official program.
Organization-based volunteers and community leaders also cheered and exchanged votes of thanks for all the hard work by CNS UK.
CNS UK was established ten years back in Charlton London in order to unite people of Nepalese background to serve the community and its people in the surrounding areas. It aims to carry out charitable works in the future.
